From Me
From Me is a nonprofit organisation that work to provide access to educational resources for children living in poverty across the Pacific. They collect and repurpose school supplies and ship them to Papua New Guinea, where they have successfully set up 10 libraries in rural schools. Supporting our client, DUAL’s, commitment to this cause, WK New Zealand contributed to From Me in various ways including attending group quizzes (where the proceeds went to From Me), made a charitable donation, and running an internal book collection drive for children’s books. Our support of From Me not only helped make a difference to children in Papua New Guinea, but it helped extend DUAL’s community impact even further.

Donaldson Brown’s Charity Lawn Bowls Event
We proudly supported this client-driven event to raise funds for the Child Cancer Foundation, helping our client make a meaningful contribution to families across Aotearoa in need. Partner, James Dymock was joined by lawyers, Murray Grant, Vrinda Khatri and Amy McGhie, for a day out playing bowls for a good cause (we can’t say much about their lawn bowls skills!).
Sally Parker Garden Classic Golf Charity Day
WK New Zealand was a proud bronze partner of this charity golf day, held at Royal Wellington Golf Club where the fundraising efforts went towards the Wellington City Mission. The day honoured Sally Parker who had recently passed away. She was the wife of a Barrister who is well known to WK. Partner, Sean O’Sullivan, and special counsel, Matthew Booth participated in the tournament with a couple of clients and enjoyed networking with others in the legal community.

The PJ Project with DUAL
Led by partner, Sophie Lucas, our Wellington team supported DUAL’s PJ Project by providing brand-new pair of pyjamas for kids across Aotearoa experiencing hardship and going without basic needs. We also set up a box for collections in the office and managed cash donations for those who preferred to donate. We collected a total of 16 pairs of pyjamas and raised over $100 in a relatively short period of time

St Bernard’s College – Te Kura Tuarua ō Hato Perenara
Last year, we were excited to sponsor a valued Gallagher client’s son from St Bernard’s College in Lower Hutt to compete in the 2024 Zespri AIMS Games, Australasia’s largest sporting event. The Anchor AIMS Games is New Zealand’s premier sporting event for intermediate students providing opportunities to compete at an elite level, be active, celebrate fair play and enjoy success. Our client’s son is a talented football player, and we enjoyed being able to help set him up for success with funds supporting his travel, accommodation, food and uniforms

By aligning our efforts with those of our clients, we help turn shared values into shared impact, working side by side to build better outcomes for the communities they care about.
