Human Rights Act

< Pro Bono

No matter who we are, we all deserve to be treated with dignity and respect by our government.

The Human Rights Act would embed these values into public life in Australia by making the government accountable for protecting our rights.

WK is a proud signatory to the campaign for a national Human Rights Act and has been assisting the Human Rights Law Centre with drafting factsheets, starting with:

Education | Health | Housing

Privacy | Migrants | Older people

Children | LGBTIQ+ | People with a disability

This helps raise awareness of how the human rights frameworks in Victoria, Queensland and the ACT are making a difference to people’s lives, and demonstrate why a Human Rights Act is needed at a national level.

Wotton Kearney acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands on which we work, and pay our respects to Elders past and present.
