Every year we act for people treated less favourably in discrimination and inequality matters.
We advocate for the rights of people with disabilities in discrimination matters in the Federal Circuit Court and Australian Human Rights Commission.
This year we also seconded two of our lawyers to the Australian Centre for Disability Law (ACDL), to assist and advise clients who would otherwise not have access to legal advice and representation.
We are also supporting ACDL and other disability rights organisations to develop their policy platform in response to the report of the Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability, identifying the need for a national Human Rights Act to introduce requirements to take positive action to address exclusion, disadvantage and discrimination faced by people with disability.
