Community Footprint Impact Report

November 2024

At Wotton Kearney, our dedication to pro bono, community contribution, and responsible business practices reflects our commitment to building a fairer, more inclusive and sustainable society.

Our 2024 Impact Report captures our efforts to reduce inequalities, promote access to justice and drive meaningful change. The year saw significant growth in our pro bono program, with our contribution growing by 83%. We invested in our pro bono leadership, with Leanne Ho joining Heidi Anderson as Pro Bono Partner, providing a diverse, deep and wholistic offering to our pro bono clients and community partners, through expert law reform, advocacy and direct legal assistance to individuals and not-for-profits.

Our community partnership with the Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF) saw our people come together to fundraise and volunteer at events including our Melbourne Charity Carnival and Sydney Charity Tennis Tournament, helping to expand the ILF’s reach and advance educational equity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children.

We also published our first standalone Environmental Sustainability Report, improving transparency across sustainability initiatives.

In New Zealand, we were proud to continue our longstanding support of the Refugee and Immigration Legal Advice Service through Wellington Community Law and our national community partner, the Life Squared Trust, a charity close to our hearts.

As you read through the report, you’ll see the stories and impacts we’ve achieved together. Our commitment to making a meaningful impact on society continues to grow, driven by a vision of equality, justice, and a future where everyone has the chance to thrive.

In the spirit of reconciliation, Wotton Kearney acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we operate and conduct our business throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We recognise that this land always was and always will be Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander land.

We pay our respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and to Elders, past and present. Wotton Kearney believes in celebrating the rich heritage of the oldest continuing cultures and recognising their strength and resilience.
